Now is the perfect time to start looking ahead towards ski season. Fall is coming to an end here in the Vail Valley and we could see some snow up at higher elevations later this week. As always, projected dates are dependent on snow.
Arapahoe Basin typically has one of the longest ski seasons in North America. In fact, they have already begun making snow for the 2018-2019 season. While Arapahoe Basin is not owned by Vail Resorts, an Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass gets you unlimited access to A-Basin’s terrain.
One of our home mountains here at TV8, Beaver Creek offers unmatched corduroy runs as well as steep expert terrain. It is home to the Birds of Prey racecourse which will host the Men’s Alpine Ski World Cup shortly after the mountain opens.

Crested Butte is now Epic! If you haven't ever checked out Crested Butte, this winter is the time to do it on your Epic Pass.
Like Breckenridge, Keystone is set to open on November 9th. Keystone is another great skiing option in Summit County, and offers more advanced runs on 3,148 acres of terrain.
Along with Crested Butte, Telluride as also been added to the Epic Pass this winter. Telluride’s terrain has been described as “legendary” and offers some of the best views in the Rockies. Be sure to check your epic pass to see how many days you get to explore Telluride.
Not only does Vail offer over 5,000 acres of skiable terrain, there is plenty to do at the base of the mountain as well. Vail Snow Days is an early season concert series from December 13th through the 16th. This year's headliners are Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Shakey Graves.
