Good Morning Vail "Sing the Jingle" Competiton:

 

Who Can Enter

1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be residents of greater Vail Valley who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the TV8 viewing. People under 18 years of age may be featured in your recording, but must be represented by an adult.

2. Employees of Deerfield Media (Vail), Inc., d/b/a TV8 (the “Station”), Always Mountain Time, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible.  The term “immediate family” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.  

 

 

How to Enter

1. No purchase is necessary to enter.  Qualified entrants may enter as often as they wish during the contest period: April 12, 2022 to June 30, 2022

​   2. Individuals or groups submit a recording of themselves singing the Good Morning Vail theme song. This may be a video submission or audio        submission. Files shall be sent via e-mail to  danielle@tv8vail.com

   3. Station is not responsible for lost or misdirected entires. 

   4. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges, and will be rated in accordance with a predetermined judging guideline based on a                          accuracy of lyrics, tone and demeanor, creativity, and overall presentation. The contest will be judged by a (3) person panel and the                        decision of the judges will be final as to all matters.

  5.  All entries become the property of Deerfield Media (Vail), Inc. and the Station. By entering the contest, participants                                                    acknowledge that their submission may be used on air or on-line and for use in promotional materials, as the sole discretion of the                    Station and its management. 

 

The Prize(s)   

1. (3) prizes will be distributed. First Prize: $500 cash. Second Prize: $250 cash. Third Prize: $50 gift certificate to be determined by the Station. Prize is award to the individual or group as determined by the judging panel. 

2. Top (5) contestants or groups will be notified that they are finalists and asked to participate in a live broadcast of Good Morning Vail.  Before claiming any prize, each winner must provide his/her correct name, address and telephone number to Station at the time of notification. Each winner must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility before appearing on the live program. 

3. If a winner does not timely sign and return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and {if time permits,} the Station will award the prize to an alternate winner, in the Station’s sole and absolute discretion.  

4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for any prize except at the sole discretion of Station.  The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value.  No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.

5. Each winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on the prize based on the estimated retail value of the prize as set forth in these rules.   Each winner must complete and sign a Form W-9 if applicable.   

6. Only one prize will be awarded per household. 

7. Deerfield Media (Vail), Inc. and its affiliates are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.  

8. Deerfield Media (Vail), Inc., and its affiliates are not responsible for any liability arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize. 

9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Deerfield Media (Vail), Inc. has the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.

 

Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous

1. Odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received. ​

   3. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.  Deerfield Media (Vail), Inc., its                                          affiliates, Always Mountain Time and their parent companies accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries,                                losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.

   4. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes, or contest information.  

   5. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes, and change the aforementioned contest dates.

   6. By entering this contest, each entrant waives any and all claims of liability against the Station, any sponsors, Facebook.com, and their                    respective parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as a              result of entrant’s participation in this contest.
